☕️ Follow the CEOs, not the headlines
May 13, 2026Good morning! 👋
It's Hayley here and I hope you’re off to an excellent start! 😀
Yesterday, chip and tech stocks took a breather.
No doubt that some will panic that this marks the end of the rally, while others will see opportunity.
Keith would remind you that this is a normal part of the process and that we’ve seen it many times before.

This morning markets are split in early going as I type, meaning the Dow and S&P 500 futures are nudging lower while the Nasdaq is pushing higher.
The best companies continue to move forward.
Trust the numbers.
History shows very clearly that being invested in markets that may not be perfect beats waiting to invest in perfect markets.
Here are three things I'm seeing today:
- Inflation. Yesterday's CPI came in at 3.8% - hotter than expected, highest since 2023. The headlines are making it sound like the sky is falling. That's an opportunity. Right now everyone is watching the Fed, waiting to see what they do next. Keith would remind you that's the wrong conversation entirely. The Fed doesn't create value. Businesses do. People do. Innovation does. So don't bet on the Fed fixing anything - bet instead on the companies they'll eventually be forced to follow. Focus on what you can control and know to be true. Play to win, not "not" to lose.
- Nvidia. All eyes are turning to “Unka Jensen” right now. Nvidia reports next Wednesday, and it may be the single most watched earnings call of the season. As Keith has said many times: "AI may well be the biggest investing opportunity in recorded human history. Every business on the planet will adapt, adopt, or die." The numbers next week will tell us a lot about how fast that's happening. More to come.
- Beijing. Trump and Xi meet this week - trade, AI, chip export controls, rare earths, and Iran all on the table simultaneously. Pay attention to who's on that plane... Jensen Huang, Elon Musk and Tim Cook to name a few. That speaks volumes.
With that in mind, I think this “Keithism” is particularly fitting today.

You got this – I promise!
Now and as always, let's MAKE it a great day.
Hayley 😀
