☕ Get ready for a tailwind if you own these stocks

Oct 28, 2026

Howdy! 👋

Markets are mixed as I type ahead of the opening.

The official story is that traders are awaiting the Fed’s decision (which is why they’re cautious) and at the same time buying after SK Hynix profits knocked it outta the park (because they can’t afford to miss the upside).

Many retail investors think in one direction at a time – up or down – so what I’ve just said doesn’t make sense.

Let me explain.

Smart investors play both sides at once.

Institutional traders manage probabilities across billions of dollars, so they’re constantly trimming risk and buying protection ahead of the Fed’s afternoon announcement while simultaneously piling into AI memory names after SK Hynix showed demand for high-bandwidth memory is still running hot.

In Wall Street speak that’s “Caution on one side of the book. Aggression on the other.” Same desk, same morning.

The world’s best and most successful investors often hold two (or more) ideas at the same time – the Fed could disappoint and AI demand keeps accelerating – and they position for both.

Folks who try to decide whether today is an “up” day or a “down” day usually get whipsawed and, often taken to the cleaners… buying the pop at 10 a.m. and dumping it by 2:30 when the Fed speaks.

Don’t let it faze you.

Investing is about focus, not noise.

  • Plan
  • Execute
  • Adjust
  • Repeat

Here’s my playbook.

1 – What I expect from Microsoft, Google and Amazon

I sat down yesterday with my good friend and colleague Scott “The Cow Guy” Shellady to talk about what I expect from Microsoft, Google and Amazon earnings, which land over the next 24-48 hours. (Watch)

We also spent a New York minute on why investors who bail out now could be making one of the most expensive investing mistakes of all.

Keith’s Investing Tip: Missing opportunity is always more expensive than trying to avoid risks you can’t control.

2 – Tesla just did in 7 months what took Waymo 27

I constantly hear from investors who insist that Waymo is the way to go for one reason or the other… lidar, a head start, and Alphabet’s deep pockets.

Good luck with that has almost always been my response.

The data increasingly support my contention that Waymo is on borrowed time.

MyPOV: As I’ve said many times before, Tesla’s real competitive advantage has never been the car. It’s the data engine behind it and the platform upon which it resides. There isn’t another feedback loop on the planet at anything even remotely resembling this scale.

My guess is you know what to do.

If not, I’d be happy to share some insight.

People tell me that my research and perspective make a huge difference when it comes to stuff like this.

3 – Get ready for a tailwind if you own these stocks

India’s retail investors just got the keys to Wall Street. (Read)

Until recently, buying U.S. stocks from India was mostly a wealthy-person thing. Global banks. Wealth managers. Velvet ropes. Wood conference rooms.

Not anymore.

Groww, which serves nearly 3 in 10 of India’s 46 million active investors, switched on U.S. stock trading this month. Zerodha, the No. 2 platform, says it’s a few weeks away. Angel One is reportedly next.

And what are early users buying?

Many of the same names we talk about frequently… Nvidia, SpaceX, Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Micron and Meta.

Talk about a tailwind for those who are already on board!

If my back of the envelope math is correct there could be $5-10+ billion headed this way… and that’s probably conservative btw.

Keith’s Investing Tip: Millions of new buyers with new access to the world’s best companies is a tailwind you can’t ignore.

4 – Tempted by Anthropic’s IPO? Read this first

I get it.

Millions of investors are thinking Anthropic’s IPO – initial public offering – is gonna be a path to quick riches.

History suggests there’s gonna be a lot of disappointment first.

The average drawdown – meaning price decline – of the largest 20 largest public offerings since 2010 is 60% within the first 12 months.

Most investors will freak and, predictably, sell out at the worst possible moment.

On the other hand, those few who understand how the game is played will probably have a far different experience particularly if they wait out the practically inevitable drop, buy more and control risk using the right tactics to do both.

Keith’s Investing Tip: IPO’s are one of the most rigged games in history. It wasn’t always that way but don’t confuse today’s highly leveraged, questionably manipulated process with a quick path to riches. There is nothing wrong with waiting a quarter or two for a newly public company to prove itself instead of rushing in when the doors open at considerably higher risk.

5 – SK Hynix earnings

SK Hynix is a big leaguer, meaning a serious player.

Last night – daytime in South Korea – it reported blockbuster earnings.

  • Revenue: 104.62 trillion won ($78.86 billion) vs. 98.34 trillion won expected
  • Operating profit: 83.33 trillion won vs. 76.72 trillion won expected
  • Revenue rose 327.9% from a year earlier, while operating profit climbed 632.1% year on year.

Should you buy it?

I could make the case that’d be a smart decision.

But here’s the twist.

I’d focus on buying US listed ADRs before I considered buying locally on the Korean Exchange for two reasons.

  1. The pool of money here is considerably larger, which means a deeper pool of longer-term money; and,
  2. The Indian investors I’ve noted above are very likely going to be drawn to names like SK Hynix on US exchanges, which means even more buying pressure over time.

Hmmm. 🤔

Meanwhile, I’m very comfortable with the One Bar Ahead® Model Portfolio, particularly since many are already on the path to life-changing profit potential.

If you’re getting the results you want, then fabulous – a tip o’the hat in your direction – because many investors are getting left behind for one reason or another. Others are so scared they are paralyzed into doing nothing… and falling behind.

Bottom Line

Every morning you have two choices.

You can sleep with your dreams or you can get up and make ‘em happen.

You got this — I promise. 💯

As always, let’s MAKE it a great day!
