☕ Position yourself for tomorrow’s inevitabilities

Premarkets are pointing higher this morning as I type, with investors looking ahead to the delayed January jobs report. Futures are green and sentiment feels a little steadier to start the day. 

Good.  

That said, and as Keith mentioned in his conversation with Ashley on Monday, we may not be completely out of the woods yet. (Watch) 

The choppiness we’ve seen recently doesn’t just disappear because futures are up for a few hours. 

Over the past week alone, we’ve seen a sharp pullback, a powerful rebound, and now a bit of back-and-forth near record highs. 

These are exactly the kinds of conditions where investors begin second-guessing. 

“Was that it?” 
“Should I trim?” 
“Did I miss something?” 

It’s completely human. 

But Keith would encourage you to zoom out for a moment. 

Earnings season is well underway - and broadly speaking, it’s going excellently.  

One jobs report won’t redefine the next decade, and one choppy stretch won’t either.  

Markets have a very defined upward bias over time, and you can quickly see that it makes sense to play to that probability rather than worry about short-term possibilities at moments in time. 

Which brings me to something Keith wants you thinking about today: 

The trends unfolding now are what will define the future. 

So, it makes all kinds of sense to play into that.
