☕️ SpaceX IPO + two stocks I’m after today and why

Jun 12, 2026

Howdy! 👋

It’s SpaceX Day and I’m keen to watch all the market action I can.

So let’s keep it brief.

That way you and I can take it all in. 🍿👀

First though and in case it’s helpful…

I began my day at 0410 with the super-savvy Maria Bartiromo who wanted to know my take on SpaceX but also which stocks I’m looking at today. And, of course, why.

What I had to say may surprise you. Then again, with both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq in the red as I type, it may not if you’ve been reading along for any length of time. (Watch)

But back to SpaceX for a moment.

Like millions of people, I’ve put in for a few shares and have yet to learn if I got ‘em.

Meanwhile… here’s something to think about.

Opinions on SpaceX are like bellybuttons, and cyberspace is already full of ‘em.

Some pro, others con.

Some just full of vinegar for whatever reason – which strikes me as a sad way to go through life but that’s a topic for another time.

Many folks are hellbent on being “right” that SpaceX will be the greatest thing since sliced bread or the worst thing since decaf.

Forget about who “wins” that argument.

The only thing that matters is what’s right for you and your money based on your risk tolerance, objectives and circumstances. See what I did there. 😀

Something else.

The world’s most successful investors are intently focused on being profitable, even if they’re wrong.

Think about that for a New York minute.

They don’t let daily noise sway ‘em and – I submit – that’s worth your consideration especially on a day like today.

Investing isn’t a competition despite the fact that plenty of people want to make it that way.

The questions you want to be asking yourself this morning are simple and the same ones I’m asking myself:

  • What does it look like if I add SpaceX (or other stocks) to my portfolio?
  • How much risk am I willing to assume?
  • Which tactics can help me do that most effectively?
  • What’s my timeframe and horizon?

Bottom Line

Many people espouse the KISS principle – Keep it Simple Stupid.

My version is slightly different, especially on a day like today.

I say…

Keep it stupid simple!

Now and as always, let's MAKE it a great day and finish the week strong.

You got this — I promise!
