☕ Super Micro’s China mess and Meta’s bait-and-switch
Mar 20, 2026Good morning 👋
It’s Hayley here and I hope you’re off to an excellent Friday! 😃
Keith just checked in from the desert on two items he wants to bring to your attention:
Keith wants you to know that this should not come as a surprise given who is apparently involved. What is a surprise is that this sequence of events goes all the way to the founders, which means that there are undoubtedly additional individuals involved.
Super Micro has issued a statement that it takes compliance seriously... but Keith’s exact words were “yeah, and I got a bridge to sell you if you believe that.”
What you want to take away from this is that Nvidia chips are so good and so valuable that China had to resort to this kind of behaviour to get their hands on ‘em.
Invest accordingly.
2. And just like that Meta’s bait-and-switch is complete
Keith had very harsh words for Meta when they launched the Metaverse... calling it a “bait-and-switch” to distract investors from legal and other challenges at the time, so he’s not surprised one bit that the company has decided to shutter its virtual reality platform.
And in the same breath, nor is he surprised that Meta has apparently decided to keep Horizon Worlds working for existing games “to support the fans who’ve reached out” according to CTO Andrew Bosworth.
As you know, Keith has no love lost for El Zucko and the markets will probably interpret this as a good thing for reasons that defy any kind of logic whatsoever.
Meta desperately wants in on the AI game, but we will see where that goes!
If you’re an OBAer – I hope you took advantage of Keith’s update on Monday and keep your eye on your email because the Friday update is coming shortly! 😃

You got this – I promise!
Now and as always, let’s MAKE it a great day and end the week strong!
Hayley 😀
