☕️ Tesla earnings: a simple decision tree
Jul 22, 2026Good morning! 👋
It’s Hayley here as Keith is working on some exciting new ETF-related research and I cannot wait to see what he has cooking.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq are red in the early going, while the Dow is in the green, and the 10-year is basically flat.
That’s very much expected, especially as we come into the big tech earnings – kicking off later today with Alphabet – parent company of Google – and Tesla.
Speaking of which, Keith has been a prominent voice in the space when it comes to Tesla, and he wants to remind you today that there’s always a lot of noise about what’s coming when Team Musk reports.
But he also wants to remind you that Wall Street has already made up its mind regardless of what the company reports.
Yes, really.
So, the question is what does this mean for you and your money?
Keep it stupid simple.
In fact, Keith’s simple 3-part decision tree could be useful.
- If you’re an investor and you believe that robotics, AI, energy, mobility, communication – to name a few – are the future then stick with it. Short term noise is just that... short term.
- If you're a trader – go trade! There are dozens of short-term strategies you could use.
- If you can’t get past Musk, then don’t own the stock, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
We can’t wait to see what's reported!
Meanwhile, Keith sat down yesterday for a thought-provoking conversation with his good friend and colleague Scott "the Cow Guy" Shellady – so named for the colourful old-school pit jackets he wears. (Watch)
They spoke about many topics that are on investors' minds right now including:
- Why are stocks moving the way they are – hint: it’s not the stocks.
- Earnings vs price disconnect and how you can make the most of it.
- Palantir and why Keith thinks it's a $500 stock in the making.
Along with much more – I think you’ll find it super useful.
Bottom Line
Spoiler alert: the world will change with or without your approval. So will the financial markets.
Focus on what you can control – tactics, timing, which stocks you buy etc – instead of worrying about what you can't.
Now and as always, let's MAKE it a great day. 💯
You got this — I promise!
Hayley 😀
